The pop scene in Pakistan got going much before it hit the shores of India and goes back even before Junoon was formed, in fact, Salman Ahmed who formed Junoon came from a band that was among on the best bands of its time. That these guys knew their music is still evident today with Salman Ahmed having formed one of the most popular south Asian band till date and Ruhail Hyatt producing the ever mesmerising Coke Studio currently.

Today we lost another legend, a man whose voice brought life to words. A voice which could be identified amongst the rest. The world of Ghazal has lost one of its pillars and we have lost one of the best singers in India with the passing away of Jagjit Singh.
